Here is the procedure to inspect an OCP rack that is currently failing.
1. Visual Inspection
Server Status
Please take a picture of each server. We should see in the picture, all the LED in front of the server. For example, do a picture like this:
The goal is to see if the server is powered on and the network cable correctly plugged.
Switch Status
Please take a picture of the switch in the rack. We should see in the picture all the cables and all the LED of the switch. For example, do a picture like this:
The goal is to see if the switch is powered on.
2. Noise Inspection
Please report if the switch and the server are running by listening if the fans are running.
3. Reboot server if needed (or asked to)
If you hear no fans at all for one server, or if a RapidSpace administrator asks you to, you can reboot a server by lifting up the green button and pulling the server out of the rack:
Pull the server 20 centimeters out of the rack, wait 20 seconds and then push back the server into the rack.
